1. Share your idea

Get in touch with me (mike@forgeheimshields.se) and tell me what you have in mind. Do you want a Viking shield inspired by archaeological finds from the Viking Age, or something completely new with your own symbols, colors, and patterns? There are no limits here—your vision is the starting point.

2. Choose the details

You can choose between different options for:

• Size → from a minimum diameter of 50 cm up to full-size battle shields at 80 cm in diameter. Note! You also have the option to get a smaller shield without the central shield boss, measuring 18 cm × 18 cm. This means the surface for the motif is larger and the final result becomes more like a regular painting to hang on the wall.

• Edge Finish → faux leather + stitching in various color options.
  Faux leather: Dark Brown, Black, Gray, or Cream White.
  Stitching: Dark Brown, Black, or White.

• Pyrography, colors & patterns → hand-painted, inspired by historical motifs or your own original design.

3. The Design Process

Once we’ve gone through your ideas and preferences, I’ll create a design sketch that we can adjust until you’re completely satisfied. During the build I’ll keep you updated with photos and progress so you can follow the entire journey—from the first wooden board to the finished shield.

4. Your shield takes shape

Each shield is built by hand, step by step, with the same care and passion as every Forgeheim shield. When your shield is finished, I perform a final quality check and prepare it for delivery.
