Forgeheim’s Standard Shields

These are three of Forgeheim’s Standard Shields that I’ve created to make choosing a shield easier. Of course, each shield has its own unique touch, but these are primarily meant to catch the eye of those who don’t have any specific requests or modifications in mind. In the future, there will be a full range of Standard Shields to choose from, and just like any other product, you’ll be able to order them directly without needing to contact me.

A Symbol for Graduation

A simple request turned into a grand graduation gift! Hardly anyone expects to receive a Viking shield as a present—that’s exactly what makes the whole experience unique and unforgettable.

Personal + Norse Mythology

The theme of this shield could be described as a blend of personality and Norse mythology. I was given three words to work with freely: “dark,” “mystical,” and “evil.”

The story behind the shield is: “Jörmungandr (the Midgard Serpent) hides within Fenrir, who devours the moon, while Hel lurks beneath it all.” A small twist on Norse mythology—but it fit perfectly, as the recipient loves moons.

Since the idea was created entirely from scratch, it took two weeks to complete this custom shield. Depending on the request, the time may vary.
The shield measures 63.5 cm in diameter.

SHIELD(on)WALL

The final result shows that creativity knows no limits! This shield earned a powerful place above the bedhead as a symbol of protection, safety, and strength. Truly impressive!
TIP: Depending on your wall and material, keep in mind that the shield has some weight. Just make sure to choose the right hook for your wall type, and the shield will proudly and powerfully display itself for years to come.

The Birth of Forgeheim

From idea to reality. This shield was created with the hope of developing something meaningful—something that would allow me to make use of my creative skills. The fear of starting a project that might never be finished was strong, so I chose a path with no turning back. This shield was a birthday gift for my partner and a true test of whether such an idea could be sustainable. It turned out to be a success in the eyes of others, and that motivation grew into something greater. Today, it’s known as “Forgeheim Shields.”
